Douglas R. Carlson of Minneapolis served as the 62nd international president of Sigma Chi Fraternity from 2001 until 2003. For Carlson, this event marked the culmination of nearly three decades of dedicated service to the Fraternity.

He has also chaired and served on many key Greek alumni committees at the University of Minnesota.
